Urgent Care facilities within Alberta Health Services – Calgary are non-hospital, unscheduled care facilities established by Alberta Health Services in Alberta to meet the urgent medical care needs of patients not requiring hospital-level care.

An urgent care centre receives unscheduled patients who are seeking attention for non life threatening unanticipated health events. These may require human and technical resources more intensive than are available in most physician offices.

Opportunities for Family Physicians

Physicians must be ACLS certified and experience in Emergency or Urgent Care is preferred.

Opportunities for work include: full time, part time and casual. All work is shift work and includes weekends, evenings and holidays. There is a minimum shift commitment which varies from site to site.

Remuneration: Varies from site to site. All sites are Fee for Service and some sites provide minimum guarantees.
