Foundations occurs during the month of July for incoming first year residents. During this month they learn more about the program and what to expect over the two year residency program. They attend plenary sessions on family medicine topics and have the opportunity to practice their existing hands on medical skills as well as learn new ones.
ALARM is a formal teaching course for first year Family Medicine residents as required for the Obstetrics and Gynecology rotation. It is a mandatory two-day course held twice during the academic year - July and November. Information about the upcoming 2016-2017 ALARM courses will be distributed to the participants via email.
